Presentations were made from Austria, Bulgaria, Canada, Czechoslovakia, Finland, Federal Republic of Germany, Hungary, Iceland, Israel, Malta, United Kingdom (Northern Ireland), USSR, Lithuania and Yugoslavia. Progress reports from each country are available on request to EURO. Dr Fridriksson drew attention to the fact that when the CINDI programme began, progress reports had been an important part of the Programme Directors' meeting, yet they now occupied only a amall part of the agenda. There was general consensus that the presentation of country reports was an important aid to local progress and visibility. Dr Korhonen suggested that a system should be developed by which the CINDI Programme Management Committee selected countries which would be asked to present their activities in more detail. This could be done on a rotational basis. Dr Shatchkute added that progress reports should concentrate on results rather than activities. It was agreed that countries would continue to present brief progress reports emphasizing evaluated successes and innovative activities. In addition a number of countries would be asked by EURO on a rotation basis to present their progress in more detail. Countries would be selected on a rotational basis.
