Description
Though the book is an apprenticeship novel, it contains explicit straight and gay sex scenes.

Summary
A young man's journey to the Far-East where he discovers himself and his sexuality. The full story of Thomas Hermann, a disorientated young man in his early twenties, who travels to a Far-East island on a strange errand, to meet his father, whom he last saw when he was a little child. His journey into the unknown turns into a quest for identity, revealing his bisexuality and unquenchable thirst for love and belonging, amidst a series of events over which he has little control.
