Description
On the path of spirituality, what hinders attainment of final goal of liberation? Of many obstructions, one cause is garvaras. Garva means to believe, ‘I am doing it’ when in reality, one is not the doer. At that moment, the interest (rasa) that arises within is garvaras. It is sweetest of all tastes in the world. All someone needs to say is, “You can explain very well, you know a lot,” & that’s it! The excitement will definitely arise within & then sweetness continues to trickle within. Once it has been tasted from within, it will nest itself within. Param Pujya Dada Bhagwan says, “Garvaras is the seed (cause) for a next life. It is due to this that worldly life is perpetuated.” In current edition, not only definition of Garvaras, its characteristics, its examples & dangers have been elaborated but also how to uproot it using keys of Knowledge has been explained in depth which will help the reader recognize these faults of sweetness & attain vigilant awareness against garvaras.
