A story about twenty years of friendships between President Nixon of the United States and Shah of Iran from 1953 to 1973. It begins with the friendship of the two during the Coup in Iran which bring back Shah to power and ends with President Nixon's resignation during the impeachment process in 1974. It covers many untold events which occurred in this period whether in the United States or in Iran.

A reality and an illusion hand to hand caused a mistake that changed the fate of the country. The fact was that it had long been known that America was stuck in Vietnam's swamp and could not win it. Before that, the United States had failed in the Korean War, which resulted in the division of Korea into two North and South Koreans. Now in Vietnam, it was happening in a worse manner. The United States was looking for a way to get out of Vietnam. Eventually, for the first time, the United States was forced to succumb the defeat and leave Vietnam. The successive failures of the United States in East Asia have provoked concern among US allies around the world as if she had lost its ability to support allies and they would have to consider another option to defend themselves. Incidentally, Nixon endorsed this concept by presenting a new doctrine called the Nixon Doctrine that did not last long. In line with Nixon's doctrine, the United States considered entrusting part of the task of defense against communism to allies themselves. Selling them weapons and strengthening their military strength. This fact led to the creation of an illusion that, in turn, led to several political miscalculations. In the course of the US 1972 election, Shah had secretly helped the Nixon election camp. During the Vietnam War, the United States was forced to borrow a number of advanced aircraft from the Shah for a series of combat operations. These two events led the king to the illusion that he would interfere in the internal affairs of the United States, and in this regard, America does not differ from other countries. Second, the impression came to him that Iran has now become a major power that the United States needs in some cases. That reality and that illusion lead Shah to three strategic mistakes. The first mistake was that the undisputed power of America was lost or weakened. The United States is no longer the same United States. The second mistake was that the power of the international community and the international community's management has also been undermined in international affairs, and new conditions have prevailed that independent actors can play a more important role in global affairs. And the third mistake was that the countries are now abandoned and can pursue the role they want in national, regional, and global affairs.
