Foreword: This report includes the proceedings of a Workshop devoted to the improvement of statistical data related to occupational safety and health. These activities were sponsored by the three agencies that entered into the formal tripartite Memorandum of Understanding at this Workshop: the Bureau for Labor Statistic the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, and the National Center for Health Statistics. The Workshop was organized by the National Center for Health Statistics. Special thanks go to Dr. Patricia Buffler. Other members of the Workshop planning group include Dr. Bruce Cohen, Dr. Harry Rosenberg and Mr. Jeffrey Maurer from the National Center for Health Statistic; Dr. Gilbert Beebe and Dr. Thomas Mason from the National Cancer Institute Mr. Harvey Hilaski from the Bureau of Labor Statistic and Mr. Todd Frazier from the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health. The Workshop proceedings were prepared under the direction of Dr. Diane Wagener.
