Darrell C. Porter is a non-denominational, full gospel evangelist. He received his Masters Degree in Christian Education from the International Bible College & Seminary in Independence, Missouri. He also worked a nationwide Prevention Consultant. He served as the Prevention Coordinator for a Central Illinois mental health agency, being a professionally Certified Illinois State Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Drugs Prevention Specialist. Mr. Porter is a husband and father of five children.
Rev. Porter has worked extensively with urban youth in Chicago, Los Angeles and Central Illinois for over 40 years. He has worked with street gang members, dropouts and substance abuse offenders. He has designed and implemented a number of community-based youth programs, from creative approaches to learning basic academics, to theatrical training, to learning how to fly a single engine airplane.
Rev. Porter has conducted well over six thousand trainings, workshops and seminars on evangelism, spiritual warfare, substance abuse, conflict resolution and youth and gang violence, nationwide. He has trained ministers, pastors, other church leaders, educators, community leaders and professionals. He has taught several years at a Central Illinois Bible College. For over six years he chaired the Macon County Youth Violence and Gang Task Force, comprised of local, county and state law enforcement and other community professionals.
He currently resides in Las Vegas, Nevada where he continues to write and publish the HIGHLY RECOMMENDED Prayerline Newsletter. He is founder and director of the Ichthus Institute for Enrichment & Christian Development and pastors the New Covenant International Ministries as he continues to work with local, national and international Bible-based, Chrst-centered ministries in spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
