1. INTRODUCTION The Tenth Meeting of Ministers of Health of the countries of the South-East Asia Region of WHO was held at Kathmandu from 14 to 16 September 1992 at the invitation of His Majesty's Government of Nepal. The Ministers of Health of Bangladesh, Bhutan, Indonesia, Mongolia, Myanmar, the Vice-Minister of Public Health of DPR Korea, the Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare of India, the Minister of State for Health of Nepal, and the Deputy Minister of Health of Maldives participated in the meeting. In the absence of the Minister of Health of Sri Lanka, an observer was present at the meeting (for list of participants, see Annex 1).
