Establishment of reference subsiances in 1984 In accordance with the procedure recommended by the WHO Expert Committee on Specifications for Pharmaceutical Preparations in its Twenty-fifth report (Technical Report Series No 567), 8 lnte,rnational Chemical Reference Substances were established in 1988. The substances are listed in Appendix 2 to this report. Allopurinol and Digoxin are replacement batches as the former stocks were' depleted during 1988.
