During 1991 the total number of lnternational Chemical Reference Substances distributed from the Centre was 632. Compared to the figures for 1990 this corresponds to a decrease of about 10 per cent. The five most frequently requested substances were in order of demand 4-Epianhydrotetracycline hydrochloride, 4-Epitetracycline ammonium salt, Melting Point Reference Substances, Folic acid and Atropine sulfate. Detailed figures for the distribution of the individual substances are given in Appendix 1.
