Re: Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act Privacy Rule CFR Part 313 -- Comment Dear Mr. Secretary: The Information Technology Industry Council (ITI) is pleased to respond to the Federal Trade Commission's request for public comments on the rules proposed by the FTC in connection with the Grarnm-Leach-Bliley Act (the Act). IT1 commends the FTC for the substantial efforts it has made (in cooperation with the other agencies granted rulemaking authority under the Act) to draft regulations that balance the burdens to be imposed on industry against the privacy needs of consumers.
