SIR: Special tables of mortality from influe&a and pneumonia (all forms) in September, October, November, and December, 1918, for the states of Indiana and Kansas and for the city of Philadelphia are herewith transmitted. Corresponding &ata for other parts of the registration area for deaths have been partially compiled and it is hoped to publish them at a later date. Acknowledgment and thanks are given to the United States Public Health Service, which made available from its influenza fuud $20,000 for this statistical study.
