Excerpt: Representatives of the statistical agencies of Canada, Mexico and the United States have agreed to a draft industry classification for these industries. The draft classification provides for three industry subsectors, Petroleum and Coal Products Manufacturing; Chemicals Manufacturing; and Rubber and Plastics Products Manufacturing. These are further subdivided into ten industry groups and thirty industries. These industry subsectors will be part of the Manufacturing sector(s) of the NAICS classification.
