Excerpt: Dr. Riche introduced Mr. Bradford Huther, who had been appointed Deputy Director and Chief Operating Officer. The Director reviewed personnel changes at the Bureau since the Committee?s last meeting, and she noted Committee membership changes. She informed the members of a special meeting to be held on July 10 to consider the Office of Management and Budget?s announcement with respect to its Directive 15 on racial classification and the implications of that directive on Census 2000.
