Introduction: For this review an attempt has been made to cover all the literature relating directly or indirectly to the pressure-temperature phase diagrams of the elements . All the elements have been considered excepting those that exist in the gaseous state at room temperature and pressure. The elements not reported high-pressure phase transitions and no reported data on the variation of melting temperature with pressure. Information on each of the remaining elements is reviewed in the body of the paper...
