Introduction: Authorized by the Eighth international Conference on the Properties of Steam, the International Association for the Properties of Steam (IAPS) issued in 1975 a new representation of the dynamic viscosity of water substance. This representation consists of a skeleton table and a recommended interpolating equation. The new formulation is a substantial improvement over the skeleton table and correlating formulae adopted earlier in 1964 [Kl,Ml,Sl] or a detailed discussion the reader is referred to articles by Hendricks et al. [Hl], by Nagashima [Nl] and by Schemer et al. [S2].
