Excerpt: Message From the Director: As the NTSB Academy enters its third full year of operation, we are pleased to announce the availability of Continuing Education Units (CEUs). In August 2005, the Academy became an Authorized Provider of the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) CEU. This accreditation enhances the Academy?s value within the transportation community in two ways: // Every participant who attends a designated Academy course will now be eligible to receive CEUs after successfully completing that course // Those in the transportation and emergency response communities who must obtain a specified number of CEUs on an annual basis for continuing education will now benefit from this value added to the Academy?s offerings While we focus on training transportation and emergency response professionals from around the world (more than 1,000 participants from 35 countries in 2005) we continue to add new features and programs...
