A silent play.

Summary
The show begins from the moment the public steps into the entrance hall of the theatre, which is set up as the "National Exhibition of Fine Arts" (see scene 4, act III). The hall can also be seen during the intermissions, but in the meantime at least part of it needs to be transferred onto the stage for the decorative necessities at the end of the play.
