The more Sophy saw, she more she almost wished her pony would rear and fling her unconscious to the ground, but not before kicking her imprisoning officer. “That, I believe, is the Capitol building,” murmured Brentshawe. “Go to Hell,” Sophy replied. The Major raised an eyebrow at the curse. “Dear Miss Shipley,” he replied, gently. “Hell is precisely what war is. And the fury and sadness that you feel, that is how the good people of York felt when your countrymen brought Hell to them and burned their city.
