Bio:
Author of "Spirals of Truth", a crime/romance fiction novel based in Glasgow and inspired by the events of the Ice-cream Wars.
Also "Highland Schottische", and "Legend of Queen Hynde
I have also written a few poems and hold the world record for constructing the longest didgeridoo.
I am also a prolific creator of musical instruments from the flower stock of the agave plant.
With my wife I have travelled to 140 countries around the world.
Born in Glencoe, Scotland, educated in Dunfermline High School and the University of Strathclyde.
Now retired, I still enjoy writing and trying to beat the summer drought, keeping my strawberry plants alive.
I have been a forestry worker, laundry-van driver, shop-salesman, railway clerk, retail manager and English Language Teacher.
I have two sons, a daughter, four grandaughters and two grandsons.
My car is a beat-up old Nissan Almera and I believe that, for the few journeys I make, it is kinder to the environment to keep it going than to have a modern electric car built for me.
