On November18, 1985, membersof the International Collaborative Effort (ICE) on Perinatal and Infant Mortality participated in an American Public Health Association (APHA) session (at the request of the National Center for Health Statistics) for the purpose of presenting papers reflecting the status of their research. Subsequent to the APHA conference, the members convened a seminar to detail their various research perspectives and to discuss their current methodologies.
