Description
Excerpt: The Advisory Committee on Voluntary Foreign Aid?s (ACVFA) report for the first public meeting of 2006 reflects a time of transition and reform for USAID. Originally conceived as the War Relief Board, the ACVFA has moved with the times and looks forward to its continued role as a sounding board and as a source of expertise for the US Government. The Committee possesses a depth of knowledge and experience as well as the ability to give voice to the views of the diverse community it represents. Consequently, the ACVFA is prepared to provide helpful and constructive guidance on the implementation of the transformational diplomacy initiative.
