Excerpt
How-To Download PDF (SCRIPT) Today we’re going to learn just how easy it is to download eBooks in PDF format from the World Public Library website to your PC. To begin, first navigate to the World eBook Library website. You can find us by typing eBookLibrary.org into your browser. Or search for us using Google by typing in World eBook Library and clicking Search. Selecting our site from the list of search results will bring you to our homepage. Let’s get started by logging into your profile. Click on the “My Account” tab located in the top right corner of the page. Now enter in your username, password, and click sign in. Now navigate back to the homepage. Before we select a book, lets take a brief moment to investigate some of the exciting eBook discovery tools on the homepage. We have our daily pics. Our author’s spotlight, which updates regularly. And a collection of local favorites. This list is fantastic because it gives you insight as to what readers who live in your area are enjoying. You can select a book by browsing through our authors in the author’s community section. Or use our eBook finder search engine, located near the top of the homepage. In today’s example we will download a book from one of our classic literature collections. First click on the Books tab located in the main menu bar. This will bring you to our collections page. Then select our Black Mask collection located under our featured collections menu on the left side of the screen. Let’s select Tom Stephen’s “The Red Skull" by clicking the book’s title. This will bring you to our book details page. Here, you will find all sorts of useful information about your selection. Such as the author, subject type, what collection the book comes from, and even the size of the file. Let’s open up the book by selecting its cover or the file type icon. You will be prompted again to enter your username and password. The reason that you have to log in twice, is because your profile, and your eBook access accounts are on two different servers. Your profile will last forever, but your eBook access account requires annual dues. Once you’ve entered in your information the book will automatically open. If you are using Microsoft Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, or Apple’s Safari then your book will open up in Adobe Reader. Using the toolbar located near the top of the page you are able to quickly flip through the pages, zoom in and out and even navigate the book with even more precision by using the thumbnail pages window located on the left side of your screen. You’re also able to print your book by clicking the print button. To save your book to your PC using Adobe Reader, click on the save icon in the toolbar near the top of the page. If you are using the Google Chrome browser, the eReader functions are slightly different. You can navigate through the pages using your mouse wheel or the scroll bar. And the navigation toolbar is located in the lower right hand corner of the screen. You’re able to use this toolbar to zoom in and out, print and save your book. Whichever of the four browsers you are using, when you click on the save icon a save window will open up. From here you can choose where in your PC you want to save your selection. Select the folder where you’d like your book stored. And click save. Now your book has been saved to your PC. Now lets open your new book. First navigate to the folder where you saved your book. And enjoy. Overall, downloading PDF eBooks from the World eBook Library website to your PC is simple and will only increase in popularity as we move into the future. Thanks for watching. Until next time this has been Maria from the World eBook Library.
