Hey man, can you hear that?” whispered Niko. “Yeah, but can you see what I think I am seeing, or do you think I must have had a really big bump on my head when we came though, whatever that was?” replied Mikey in a stunned voice. “I reckon we better make tracks and get out of here before we start to feel what I think we are seeing and hearing, cause I think are the Patupaiarehe or Turehu that Auntie told us about, and although we are dudes and not girls, I don’t want to find out if they like to steal us too!” exclaimed Niko”. “How about we head towards Lake Okaihau, it is out in the open and away from this creepy mist her in the forest. They can’t get us there” suggested Mikey. “But” said Niko, “since this place is so creepy, wherever we are, do you think there might be Taniwha’s there?” “Better the Taniwha you know than the Taniwha you don’t,” laughed Mikey, “come on, let’s get going, and don’t forget to tie off some more tape as we go.”
