After forty years of studying the Bible and
reading ancient writings, I noticed two things. First,
the Bible must be true because of proofs within the
text and the natural world around me. Secondly,
there is a lot missing.
I read hundreds of books and spoke with
thousands of people. Now I see how we got to this
point.
That a Roman name was used to describe a
Jewish religion is not the surprising part of the
history. The really surprising part is they turned it
into a Roman religion. The reason the word
'Christian', Χριστιανος, caught on at all, is soon after
the disciples were killed there were no more Jews
left in Jerusalem. It was an all Roman city.
