He mau olelo lahui lehulehu i ike ia i keia manawa, no lakou he mau papa okoa ekolu. 1. Na olelo kaukahi, e like me ko ka lahui Pake, hookahi mapunaolelo no kela a me keia huaolelo, penei:—Ngi tau man. 2. Na olelo pipili, e like me ka olelo Hawaii, e hoopili ana i na mapunaolelo paha, a i ole, i na huaolelo paha i na huaolelo kumu, e hoololi ana i na manao, me ka hoololi ole ana i ke ano ike o na huaolelo, penei:—Huaolelo, hoololi, hoololi ana, &c. 3. Na olelo hoololi, e like me ka olelo Enelani, penei: I come: Ke hele mai nei au. I came: Ua hele mai nei au. I received your friend's letters. Ua loaa ia?u na leta o kou hoaloha. Pauku 2. He wahi olelo kaka ma ka olelo Ha- waii no na?lii paha e huna ai ko lakou manao maoli. He mau olelo kapakapa no hoi: aole nae e noonooia ai ma keia palapala, o ka olelo noeau kupono wale no.
